Bring your class to Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Loop Abroad has had a team in Chiang Mai since 2009. Your students meet Thai physicians, counselors, and conservationists, and discover temples, night markets, and mountain villages along the way. Tell us what your course needs, and our team shapes the program around it.
Why Thailand
A team in Chiang Mai since 2009.
A team there since 2009

Leaders with you throughout
English-speaking program leaders stay with your group the whole time and help with translation when needed.
What You Teach
Programs built around your discipline.
Tell us your course's goals and learning objectives. We shape the program around them, with the sites and people in Thailand that fit your field. These are examples: we can design a program in any discipline.
- 01
Pre-Health Clinical Shadowing
Hospital rotations across specialties, from the ER and surgery to pediatrics and OB/GYN, with global health discussions between rotations.
- 02
Psychology and Mental Health
Counseling centers, a psychiatric hospital, addiction treatment centers, school counselors, and Buddhist psychology and mindfulness.
- 03
Veterinary Medicine and Wildlife
Veterinary medicine, wildlife conservation, and elephant care for pre-vet, animal science, and biology students.
- 04
Marine Biology
Marine programs for biology and environmental science students. Tell us your learning objectives, and we'll show you what's possible in Thailand.

Recent Programs
Programs faculty have brought to Thailand.
Two recent university groups show the range of what your students can do.
Pre-health clinical shadowing
Students from several university campuses rotate through hospitals in Chiang Mai, and now Bangkok, across the ER, surgery, pediatrics, OB/GYN, and more. Between rotations come global health discussions, two days of service, and evenings at the night markets.
Mental health and counseling
Fifteen days in Chiang Mai for counseling, psychology, and social work students: Chiang Mai University's Psychology Department, a psychiatric hospital, counseling and addiction treatment centers, a wellbeing camp at a local school, and meditation with monks.
How It Works
From first call to final debrief.
- 01
We talk
Tell us what you're looking for, when you'd like to travel, how many students, and your budget if you know it.
- 02
You get a proposal
An itinerary and costs built around your goals. Most proposals are ready in about a week.
- 03
We plan together
Itinerary, excursions, dates, recruitment, risk management, and all the details.
- 04
Orientation
We hold a pre-departure orientation for your group 3 to 6 weeks before you travel.
- 05
In Thailand
You travel with your students. Our local team takes care of the logistics and arranges the site visits, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences that fit your goals.
- 06
Debrief
After the trip, we meet with you to talk through how it went and plan the next one.
Most schools' study abroad deadlines fall about a year before travel, so it helps to start early. Questions about insurance and risk management? See how we keep groups safe.
Let's plan your group's time in Thailand.
Start with a call. Tell us about your course, and we'll put together a proposal, usually in about a week.
