Two weeks exploring global health through Belize's healthcare system. You'll visit community clinics, meet national and international health organizations, and hear lectures on infectious disease, maternal health, nutrition, and public health policy. You'll come away seeing health in its full social context, in a way no textbook can teach.

You join a group of students from different schools, and your instructor combines lectures with field-based learning. Because English is Belize's official language, you can talk directly with healthcare workers and community members. The program suits anyone interested in global health, including nursing, public health, global health, community health, and One Health majors.

You stay in shared rooms with other CELA students, with breakfast and transportation to program sites included. There is a guided excursion to the Xunantunich Maya site and plenty of free time to explore San Ignacio and the area around it.
