Bring your class to Athens, Greece.

Your students observe physicians at a private teaching hospital in the mornings, then discover one of Europe's most historic cities. Tell us what your course needs, and our team in Athens shapes the program around it.

Why Greece

A hospital partner, and a team that lives there.

  • A hospital partner

Metropolitan General is a private multidisciplinary hospital in Athens, with departments from cardiology and oncology to obstetrics, radiology, internal medicine, and surgery.

  • A coordinator who lives in Athens

Your on-site coordinator manages the relationship with Metropolitan General and knows the physicians, the city, and the neighborhoods where students stay.

  • English throughout

Every rotation has a named, English-speaking physician. Your students won't need to speak Greek.

  • History at every turn

Excursions can include a day cruise to the Saronic islands, Epidaurus and Mycenae, and sunset at the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.

What You Teach

Programs built around your discipline.

Tell us your course's goals and learning objectives. We shape the program around them, with the sites and people in Greece that fit your field. These are examples: we can design a program in any discipline.

  • 01

    Pre-Health Clinical Shadowing

Clinical observation at Metropolitan General, rotating through specialties with English-speaking physicians. Students observe; they don't diagnose, examine, or treat.

  • 02

    Psychology and Mental Health

Programs exploring mental health systems and practice in an international context.

  • 03

    Veterinary Medicine

Veterinary programs for pre-vet and animal science students. Tell us your learning objectives, and we'll show you what's possible in Greece.

  • 04

    Marine Biology

Marine programs for biology and environmental science students. Tell us your learning objectives, and we'll show you what's possible in Greece.

How It Works

From first call to final debrief.

  1. 01

    We talk

Tell us what you're looking for, when you'd like to travel, how many students, and your budget if you know it.

  2. 02

    You get a proposal

An itinerary and costs built around your goals. Most proposals are ready in about a week.

  3. 03

    We plan together

Itinerary, excursions, dates, recruitment, risk management, and all the details.

  4. 04

    Orientation

We hold a pre-departure orientation for your group 3 to 6 weeks before you travel.

  5. 05

    In Greece

You travel with your students. Our local team takes care of the logistics and arranges the site visits, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences that fit your goals.

  6. 06

    Debrief

After the trip, we meet with you to talk through how it went and plan the next one.

Most schools' study abroad deadlines fall about a year before travel, so it helps to start early. Questions about insurance and risk management? See how we keep groups safe.
