Give your students the experience admissions committees want to see.

If you teach pre-health, pre-vet, or science courses, you know your students are preparing applications while they're in your class. Most international programs offer them a trip with a healthcare theme. CELA offers real professional access.

Hospital shadowing with practicing physicians in Athens, Greece and Chiang Mai, Thailand. Hands-on veterinary work with licensed DVMs in Belize, Greece, Thailand, and Costa Rica. Marine field research at active conservation sites. Community health work alongside local clinic staff. Students come home with documented hours, professional mentorship relationships, and experiences they can describe with specificity in essays and interviews.

Standards

The standards admissions committees look for.

Pre-med and PA

We follow the standards that admissions committees expect. Pre-med and PA programs align with AAMC guidelines: students observe under licensed physician supervision. They don't practice outside their scope. This is the ethical standard medical school admissions committees look for.

Pre-vet

Pre-vet programs follow AAVMC guidance: student duties match their skills and certifications, scope of practice is reviewed with supervisors, and all experience is supervised by licensed DVMs. The AAVMC is explicit that these standards apply to programs abroad, not just domestic experience. This is the framework veterinary school admissions committees evaluate when reviewing VMCAS applications.
